CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated (Nasdaq: COKE) today announced that Henry W. (Hank) Flint was elected to the Company's Board of Directors and appointed Vice Chairman of the Board. He will serve on the Finance and Retirement Benefit Committees.
"Hank Flint has served Coca-Cola Consolidated with distinction for 15 years in a variety of roles. We are fortunate to have him as a member of our management team," Coca-Cola Consolidated Chairman and CEO J. Frank Harrison III said.
Mr. Flint, 52, has been Executive Vice President and Assistant to Chairman since July 2004. He has worked with the Company in a legal capacity since 1992 and has served as Secretary to the Company since 2000. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Flint was co-managing partner of the firm of Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P., a firm with which he was associated with since 1980. Mr. Flint is a native of Charleston, S.C. and a graduate of the University of Virginia law and business schools. He and his wife, Anne, have three children.
Charlotte-based Coca-Cola Consolidated is the nation's second largest Coca-Cola bottler operating primarily in 9 southeastern states.
